1) Mount Everest – 8,848 Meters

Being the tallest mountain, it is easier to climb on Mount Everest. The estimated age of Mount Everest is near about 60 million years. It is believed that this highest peak (Mount Everest) is formed by the collision of tectonic plates against the Asian plates.
2) Mount K2 – 8,611 Meters
Located in Pakistan, Mount K2 is the second highest mountain in the world after Mount Everest. The name has its own meaning. K stands for the Karakoram; since it is situated in Karakoram range and 2 stands for the second peak. Since the climate on this mountain is tough. The mountain is vulnerable to many storms thus making it quite difficult to climb. Thus it is also known as Savage Mountain. During winter, the mortality rate is high on K2.
3) Kanchanjunga – 8586 Meters

4) Mount Lhotse – 8516 Meters
With an altitude of 8516 meters, Mount Lhotse is considered as the fourth highest mountain in the world. It is located in Tibet but according to some sources; it is located in the Khumbu region of Nepal and Tibet. Lhotse means south peak in Tibet. Lhotse has multiple peaks of different heights. The main peak is 8,516 meters high, Lhotse Middle (East) is 8,414 meters and Lhotse Shar is 8,383 meters above sea level. Although many unsuccessful attempts; Lhotse is known as one of the deadliest mountains of the world. However, it was first successfully climbed by Fritz Luchsinger and Ernst Reiss from Switzerland on 18 May 1956.
